Dehradun to Lohajung (Approximately 300 kilometers)
● Our adventure begins as we depart from Dehradun early in the morning. The scheduled departure time is 6:00 AM, so please ensure you arrive at the designated location at least half an hour before. Lohajung, our destination for the day, lies approximately 300 kilometers away. The journey will take around 9-10 hours, with the road leading us through picturesque towns such as Rishikesh, Devprayag, Karnprayag, and Rudraprayag.
Highlights:
● Scenic Drive: Enjoy the breathtaking views as we wind our way through the mountains.
● Sightseeing: Along the route, we will engage in small sightseeing stops at places like Rishikesh and Devprayag.
● Accommodation: Upon reaching Lohajung, we will check into our hotel rooms for the night.
● Dinner: Dinner will be provided at the hotel.
Important Note:
● Cash Withdrawal: Make sure to withdraw any necessary cash from Dewal, a market area located 24 kilometers from Lohajung. While online transactions are occasionally available in Lohajung (especially for GooglePay or PhonePe users), it is best to withdraw cash in Dehradun itself.
● Network and Electricity: Lohajung serves as the base camp for other treks like the Brahmatal Trek and Roopkund Trek. At an elevation of 7,600 meters, this will be the last place where you will have access to electricity and network (Jio network is not available). Take advantage of this opportunity to make essential calls, as you will be disconnected from the rest of the world for the next four days.

Exciting journey from Lohajung to Tolpani via Didina Village
Starting Point: Lohajung
● Altitude: Approximately 7,700 feet (2,350 meters)
● Distance: Around 11 kilometers
● Trail Duration: Expect it to take 5-6 hours to reach the campsite.
● Trail Composition: The trail is a mix of ascent and descent. Roughly 50% of the trail involves climbing, while the other 50% descends.
● Scenery: As you trek, you will be surrounded by dense coniferous forests, creating a serene and picturesque environment.
Didina Village:
● Location: To the left of the trail, you will encounter Didina village.
● Campsite: Didina village serves as your first campsite. Imagine spending the night amidst the dense alpine forest, with the quietude broken only by the sounds of nature.
Tolpani:
● After ascending 1400 feet from Didina, you will arrive at Tolpani.
● Tolpani is a small grassy clearing nestled within the oak forest.
● Here, you can rest, rejuvenate, and soak in the natural beauty before continuing your trek.

● As you settle in for the night at Tolpani, let the anticipation build for your adventure of next day.

● Starting Point: Geruli Paatal
● Trail Distance: Approximately 10 kilometers.
● Trail Highlights: Brace yourself for a heavenly experience as you traverse the ridges of the alpine meadow. The scenery along this trail is nothing short of mind-blowing.
● Natural Wonders: Expect to encounter big outcrops and vast grassy expanses that will surprise and captivate you.
Wan Village:
● Obscured Gem: Wan Village may be lesser-known, but it is a favorite resting spot for trekkers heading to or returning from Roopkund or Homkund treks.
● Untouched Greenery: Charm lies of Wan in its untouched greenery and the absence of crowds. With very few residents, it offers a serene atmosphere.
● Rest and Refresh: Trekkers can take a short rest here, refill their water bottles, and soak in the tranquility. Some choose to stay in the accommodations provided by villagers to fully immerse themselves in the peaceful vibe.
Laatu Devta Temple: Wan Village is home to the famous Laatu Devta Temple, revered for its power and religious significance among the locals.
● Mysterious Rituals: The temple remains closed most of the time, opening only in April. Locals share ancient stories - one of which involves a King Cobra arriving with its Pearl Stone during this time.
● Blindfolded Priest: During prayers, priest of the temple blindfolds himself, and only he is allowed to enter the temple doors. Others can pray from a distance of about 75 meters from the shrine.
