About Tour
Every year from June to September, especially peaking in July and August, the Valley of Flowers bursts into bloom with nearly 800 species of flowers. This serene beauty attracts people from all walks of life and around the globe to explore the region. The diverse array of flowers, with their vibrant colors and unique shapes, is most stunning from late July to mid-August.
Itinerary
Day 1:
RISHIKESH TO JOSHIMATH
- Depart for Joshimath town in Garhwal today.
- The journey covers a distance of 250 km and is expected to take approximately 10 hours.
- Ensure you reach the Rishikesh pickup point by 7 am to join our vehicle.
- Our team will accompany you and manage your transportation to Joshimath.
- Relax and stay overnight at the guesthouse upon arrival.
Day 2:
JOSHIMATH - PULNA - GHANGHARIA
- Enjoy an early breakfast before embarking on a drive to Pulna. From Pulna, commence trekking towards Ghangharia.
- The trail initially ascends moderately uphill for a few kilometres.
- Pass through picturesque villages like Bhyundaar along the way.
- Arrive at the pristine alpine forest and check into a guesthouse for an overnight stay. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing cup of tea followed by dinner later in the evening.
Day 3:
GHANGHARIA - VOF - GHANGHARIA
- Start the trek through dense pine and oak forest.
- Trek 6 km to the valley and then 6 km back to Ghangharia.
- Optional extra hikes available, such as visiting Marys grave and glacier point.
- Terrain initially moderately steep, leveling out later on.
- Encounter a variety of flowers along the trail.
- Return to Ghangharia after the trek.
Day 4:
GHANGHARIA- HEMKUND SAHIB-GHANGHARIA
- Now, get ready for the hike to Hemkund Saheb, the highest gurudwara globally, situated at 4239 meters.
- Encounter unique flower species not found in the Valley of Flowers park region.
- Trek 6 km one way to reach the gurudwara.
- Enjoy a peaceful time at the temple before returning to Ghangharia.
Day 5:
GHANGHARIA - PULNA - JOSHIMATH
- Embark on the final leg of your trek with a downhill hike to Pulna, concluding your Valley of Flowers journey.
- Proceed to Joshimath town by drive, where you can spend the evening leisurely strolling around.
- Explore local attractions such as Narsingh temple and Adi Shankaracharya math.
- Consider a visit to Auli via rope-way for an added adventure.
Day 6:
JOSHIMATH TO RISHIKESH
- Today journey involves driving to Rishikesh.
- Expect a 250 km drive, lasting approximately 9 to 10 hours.
- Aim to arrive in Rishikesh by 6-7 pm.
- The tour concludes upon your drop-off in Rishikesh.
Inclusion
- Comfortable transportation in Tempo Traveller or SUV from Rishikesh onwards, as required.
- 5-night accommodation in Hotel/Guest house on quad sharing basis.
- Nutritious Indian meals provided throughout the trip, including morning tea/coffee, breakfast, packed lunch, evening tea/coffee, and dinner.
- Experienced mountain guide(s) and support crew for trekking.
- Provision of all necessary trekking equipment.
- Primary first-aid support available.
- Trek permit and Forest fee included.
Exlusion
- Personal clothing/gear such as shoes, snow/raincoats, walking poles, ponchos, rucksack/duffel, warm clothes, and personal trekking gear like headlamps/torches, etc., are not included.
- Breakfast and lunch for Day 1, and lunch and dinner for Day 6.
- Any snacks, beverages, eatables, and expenses of a personal nature are not included.
- Emergency evacuation charges are not covered.
- Personal accidental insurance is not provided.
- Accommodation and meals before/after the tour in Rishikesh are not included.
