We will reach Rishikesh in the morning. Here, we relax and have some quality time.
Along the way, you can get some magnificent views of the Gangas river, as well as the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers coming together at Devprayag. At the end of the tour, stop at Srinagar.
Here, you can check your itinerary, have lunch at one of the many dhabas or local restaurants, and pick up any supplies you may need for the trip and drive until you reach Gupta Kashi, where you can see RudraPrayag. It's a wonderful thing. Arrive at the hotel, check in, and spend the night.
Day 2: Visit to Kedarnath Temple
Hey, hey! to! Getting ready for the most exciting day of the program. We leave in the morning and head to Gaurikund, the starting point of the 16-kilometer Kedarnath Yatra, named after Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva.
It is also famous for its hot springs, where people believe that bathing in the holy waters of the lake will atone for past transgressions. You can stay here for a while before visiting Kedarnath temple. We continue on a beautiful forest road to Rambara.
After Rambara, we cross the bridge over the beautiful Mandakini River and head to the campsite. The valley is surrounded by spectacular waterfalls and glaciers. Around 5 or 6 o'clock is when we expect to arrive. Either the evening Aarti or going to bed is up to the travelers.
Day 3: Return to Guptkashi and travel to Chopta Valley
As you wake up, you will see the sun rising over the mountain of Kedarnath. After morning prayers, we return to Gupta Kashi and then continue to Chopta, the next destination in the itinerary.
Some people find long drives taxing, but getting there early makes you more relaxed and comfortable. For those not too tired to travel, there is also a beautiful campsite to keep photographers happy.
Upon arrival check-in at the camps, relax while relishing the hot, served dinner.
Day 4: Trek from Rishikesh to Tungnath and Chandrashila and back
Hey, hey! Go! Just before the most exciting day of our trip to Chopta. We try to view the spectacular mountains from Moonstone Peak, one of the most fascinating and spectacular mountains you’ll ever see (weather gods permitting). This is a reminder that the place is associated with many stories.
According to popular legend, this is where Lord Rama meditated after his victory over the demon king Ravana. According to another legend, Chandra, the moon goddess, spent some time here austere.
The trek from Chopta to Tunganath is about 3 km long, followed by a strenuous trek of 1.5 km to the Chandrashila mountain range.
From Chopata, a well-paved and cemented road leads to Tunganath; however, the road from Tunganath to Chandrashila is very unstable.
history buffs: The Tungnath Temple, one of the temples of Panch Kedar, is considered to be the highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the world.
While the journey is enjoyable, there are some sections that are a bit steep. It climbs steeply in the last section. As you climb higher, you will also notice the changes in the surrounding landscape. Before the Tungnath temple, the trees stop, and you can just meet trees. It usually takes three hours to reach Tunganth Temple from Chopata and another hour to reach Moonstone Mountain.
Once you reach the peak, you can see the hills of Garhwal and Kumaon in all directions. At 4,000 meters above sea level, that is where it is situated. It offers an all-inclusive view of some of the outstanding mountain ranges of Uttarakhand, such as Kedarnath, Mandani, Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Hathi, Ghodi, and others.
The walk to Chopta follows the climbing route, offering some stunning views at the top. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach Tunganath and another 60 to 90 minutes to reach Choptanagar from Tunganath.
Day 5: Return to Delhi after touring Rishikesh
Leaving the camp, the spectacular view of Kedarnath Peak and Kedarnath Dome greets you at the beginning of the day. You can take the time to witness the first rays of daylight.
After breakfast, we will proceed to the rafting spot on the Rishikeshan River. If you choose to participate, river rafting is an additional cost not covered by the program.
After your rafting adventure, you can visit Laxman Jhula/local market. I would sincerely suggest you go for a beautiful Ganga Aarti in the evening on the banks of the Ganga.
It is time to see Aarti and return to Delhi. We start your journey to Delhi with full heart and soul. The next day you would reach Delhi early in the morning.
