DAY 1

Journey from Rishikesh to Joshimath/Lower Auli

Altitude: 6,750 feet
Distance: 256 km drive (approximately 8 hours)

Pickup from Rishikesh:
● Trekkers will be picked up from Rishikesh between 6:30 am - 7:30 am in a Traveller/Ertiga/Tata Sumo or a similar vehicle.

Arrival at Joshimath:
● Arrive at Joshimath approximately by 4 pm.
● Enjoy some tea, followed by a briefing of the trek and dinner.

Meals:
● Breakfast and lunch will be provided on the way (excluded from the package).

Accommodation:
● Accommodation will be arranged at the Hotel/Homestay in Joshimath.
● May this journey be the beginning of an unforgettable adventure! 🏔🚗

DAY 2

Trek from Dhak Village to Gulling via Verdant Forests

Altitude: 9,650 feet
Time Taken: Approx. 6 hours
Trek Gradient: Moderate
Water Sources: You can fill your bottles in the Kharchi village.

Breakfast and Drive to Dhak:
● Start your day with a delectable breakfast.
● After a short drive of 10 km, reach Dhak village.

Trek Uphill to Gulling:
● Witness the giant mountains in front of you, including the most pampered mountain known as Sleeping Lady Mountain—a creation of God that leaves you in awe.
● From the meadows, continue trekking through verdant forests thriving with a variety of bird species.
● Reach the beautiful prairies and soak in the natural beauty.

Thickets and Outstanding Views:
● Climb down to arrive at another expanse of thickets with Oak, Chestnut, Deodar, and Maple trees.
● As you continue walking, witness the outstanding Dronagiri peak, a sight that will leave your heart numb.

Arrival at Gulling Top:
● Finally, reach the Gulling top, your home for the day.
● Set up camp here in tents and retire for the night under the star-lit sky.
● May this day be filled with breathtaking views and the serenity of nature! 🏔🌲🌟

DAY 3

Guling to Lower Khullara Camp/Taali:

Start Point: Guling
Distance: Approximately 6 kilometers
Duration: 6 to 7 hours

Description:
● Begin your day by trekking uphill from Guling.
● As you ascend, you will traverse pastures adorned in various shades of green, where shepherds tend to their sheep.
● The trail is steep, leading you through enchanting forests of Oak, Rhododendron (mostly pink and white), and Walnut trees.
● Amidst this natural beauty, feast your eyes on stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
● Finally, arrive at the base camp—the Lower Khullara Camp/Taali Campsite.
● Here, you will settle down in your cozy tents for a well-deserved night rest.

DAY 4

Itinerary for the Kuari Pass Trek.

Khulara to Kuari Pass and Back

Altitude: From Khulara (11,075 feet) to Kuari Pass (12,763 feet) and return.
Trekking Distance: Approximately 10 kilometers (7-8 hours of trekking).

● Early Morning Start: Begin your day with an early morning start from the Khulara base camp.
● Steep Ascent: Ascend through a steep trail, which may sometimes be covered with snow, adding an adventurous touch to your experience.
● Panoramic Views: As you climb, feast your eyes on panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Kamet, and Trishul.
● Snow-Capped Landscapes: The trail takes you through enchanting rhododendron and oak forests, where you will witness various flora and fauna.

Khullara Camps/Taali Camps to Pangarchulla Summit and Back
Altitude: From Khullara Camps/Taali Camps (approximately 11,100 feet) to the Pangarchulla Summit (15,096 feet) and return.
Trekking Distance: Approximately 14 kilometers (10-11 hours of trekking).

Description:
● Early Start: Begin your day with an early morning breakfast around 01:30 am.
● Summit Ascent: Embark on a challenging journey to the Pangarchulla Summit. The trail will test your endurance and determination.
● Stunning Views: As you climb higher, soak in the breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Dronagiri.
● Achieve the Summit: Challenge yourself and reach the summit at an impressive altitude of 15,080 feet.

Distance: Approximately 13 kilometers
Duration: 11-12 hours

Description:
● Post Breakfast: Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the campsite.
● Scenic Trek: Embark on a scenic trek, leaving behind the serene beauty of Taali Campsite/Khullara Camps.
● Gorson Bugyal: As you trek, immerse yourself in the stunning views of the lush meadows of Gorson Bugyal. These expansive grasslands are a treat for the eyes, surrounded by snow-capped peaks.
● Lower Auli/Joshimath: Continue your descent, and eventually, you will arrive at Lower Auli/Joshimath. The quaint town welcomes you with its charm and tranquility.

  • In case there is a road blockage due to heavy snowfall, the tempo traveller/car might not be able to travel further. In those cases, 4X4 would need to be booked thereon. That would be chargeable and the cost would be split and paid by the guests.
